The people of Nevada have a real choice here they can continue to vote idiots into office like Harry or they can tell the Democratic party they are done with the destructive policies of Harry and this Presidents agenda. If they vote for Harry then they might as well write themselves off as a lost cause just like California has become. If I was from Nevada I would be ashamed as a citizen of the behaviour and votes that this man has put forth.

Scariest part about today's Democrats , they think they know what is good for the voters, even when the voters are telling them to hold up on a bill. The "we know better " attitude. A smug Harry Reid didn't even bother to listen to voters when writing the health care bill. He believed he knew better then the people that put him in office. Well, some people do not need nor want the nanny state. Some people believe that when you vote a person into office they are accountable to the people that put them their, not the party they belong to. And nothing like using taxpayer dollars to openly corrupt the system and bribe fellow Democrats to vote for a bill that the majority now believe is a bad bill and should be repealed.

Never ceases to amaze me how many liberals will try to cover themselves by saying, "I'm a life long Republican and proud of that. Haven't been proud lately though..." Like this is supposed to give you some credibility. If your points are weak don't try to hide behind a false title. We see you for who you really are (a liberal in disguise). Very true! Although, you might find it interesting that out of ALL polls, Rasmussen has been the most accurate at predicting the outcomes of elections. They give their specifics of how they poll. It's different than everyone else and I think that's why theirs tends to be more accurate. It's still not 100%, but it's close.

Mike, as far as your argument, you are just a moron. CEOs don't hire the "working hands" at their companies. I'm not excusing them 100%. However, you should spend some time in a company and see how personnel administration works. Any company hiring an illegal (without checking their legal status) should be fined heavily. If a company does its research and can't prove a person to be an illegal, that same company should not be prosecuted. Either way, the illegal should still be punished.

Guys, get a grip -- nobody is building homes in Nevada right now. Everybody's hurting. Everyone has their scapegoat of choice -- illegals -- Reid -- Obama -- freakout righties and wild-eyed lefties... would be good if we could just have some civil discourse -- and publicly-funded elections. It's career politicians like Harry Reid, from both parties, that set up the conditions in the financial markets that nearly sent us into a depression. Both parties had a hand in it. One side cannot point to the other side and say it was all their fault. It took years , going back to Carter, to set-up the makings of the train wreck. Career politicians cannot point to their experience as a shining example of anything other then being used as an example of how long term residency in Washington seams to corrupt them all.

I think the problem is the primary system whereby challengers to incumbents have to impress the fringe/activist element of whichever party they are affiliated with because it's that element that votes in the primaries. The result is you never seem to get moderate positions, it always far right or far left.

It seems the problems are obvious enough but not the solutions.

While our soldiers where fighting in Iraq, Harry Reid told the national and international media, that we have lost the war in Iraq. Mark, well, my opinion is that November is going to be a bad month for the Democrats, maybe even including Harry Reid. If he looses it will because of the anti Reid/ Obama/ Pelosi vote. Many good Republicans went in 2006 because of the anti Bush vote. Deja vu all over again.

Politics aside, some of the republican nominations defy logic and it concerns me that peole like Angle or O'Donnell may be making national decisions. Keep in mind that in addition to economic decisions, they will be making decisons on foreign policy, environmental policy, etc. Angle proposed abolishing the EPA, to me that's an insane position.

But I can understand how many people would rather see the village idiot in office than Obama-followers. I don't agree with it but I can understand it. I just wish they would come up with better qualified candidates.

Do you think the rate you pay for health insurance right now has anything to do with the health bill, extremely little if any at all.

Mark, you shouldn't defend something that you haven't even read yourself. You are only relying on what people like Dirty Harry have said. These people should scare you. They are so out of touch with us. We do know what the health law is doing to us right now. As of today, a lot of private insurance companies are not accepting new enrollments because of the loop holes in the childrens portion of the law. Also, there were 5 companies (McDonalds, Jack n the Box and others) that RECEIVED exemptions from the law. You should really try to put 2 and 2 together.

Pure, I'm not defending anything. I haven't read the heatlh bill in its entirety but I do know that the rate increases we see in private health insurance this year has little if anything at all to do with the health care bill. It has primarily to do with insurer profits.

I also know that Obama has taken less vacation than Bush had at the same time in his presidency, not that it matters.
